Joan of Art Boutique is a culmination of a lifetime of dreaming, working, learning, and creating. Karalee has had a life-time obsession with art, color, texture, sparkle, and all things glitz and glam. Mapleton, Utah where Sierra Bonita which is now known as Mount Flonette AKA Maple Mountain peacefully overlooks the southeastern corner of Utah County and was the inspiration of the first mosaic piece that started it all. The late, great artist, Wendell B. Johnson who painted the mountain in all seasons as well as other farm life depictions and landscapes, was one of Karalee's first art teachers and passed on the love of this local landscape to his student. While paint turned out not to be the medium which Karalee was most connected with, she clearly paid attention to the other aspects of her art lessons, and has cultivated those beginning lessons into her now vast knowledge and artistic experience.
